The best parts of #14 at Bromont

This is the first video I made with my new helmet cam mount. http://www.pinkbike.com/photo/2029345/ It can get kind of shakey, but I think it looks awesome in other parts. BTW, the noise my bike makes is a seized e13 lower pulley. I guess those need to be greased once in a while...

We went to Bromont yesterday to hike-a-bike. One of the trailbuilders let us know that they were dynamiting on the hill, so we climbed the much tamer Mt. Soleil. We found these awesome turns, and met the dudes that carved them, and then hit up a rock wall. Brinder the Lucky Rookie first, then me, then squrl4. Check out squrl4's air-to-drift near the end.

This is me and my boy squrl4 at Bromes, again. As I dropped off the log, my timing was way off, and my front wheel fell like a stone. So I jumped over my handlebars and started running.

We call this trail Star Wars, because when we ride it we feel like Ewoks on speeder bikes trying to escape from Storm Troopers. This section is right at the bottom of a trail that takes about 10mins to ride, so when we get to the bottom (as you can clearly see in the vid), we are haggard. Check out how close squrl4 gets to me about half way through the video.

Tons of mud and a few punters, but a good day none the less.

This was the first time we pushed the limits of our abilities all summer. Bromont riders please note, the wooden ramp that is now at the bottom of this stunt IS NOT IN PLACE. Eight feet down and twelve feet out over nothing at all. Not that big, but big for us at the time. Later on in the year, this became a joke.

I love the fog in these vids. It looks like riding in Lord of the Rings.

The trail crew had just finished building this bridge 15mins before we rode it. It felt awesome to be the first to ride it, but by the end of the season, we were dropping to the blue pads at the bottom.
